Chopper Motorcycle Parts

- new chopper motorcycle. needs brakes?
New to motorcycles. I just got a new chopper and need a few things but I need more general information on what they are/what they do. I need brakes but I do not know where to start. There are so many different kinds of brakes out there. I have weld rims, venom tires, an ultima frame and revtech 88 engine. Where should I start looking as far as categories of brakes go? I have no idea where to start! Help!?!?!?

A first of all rev tech is made in TAIWAN! next theres all kinds of brakes I would use 4 piston up front and 6 piston in the back,rev tech are actually good brakes I have them on my panhead.performance machine are probably the best but very high priced,Arlen Ness is good but agin high priced. Get a catalog from FOG HOLLOW they have everybodies stuff!

- How can i obtain a VIN for an imported OHV for street registration. What parts would need to be modified.?

A VIN is Vehicle Identification Number. It shows where it was made, what year, engine code, etc. It has nothing to do with being road legal, it just identifies the vehicle. As far as if it will ever be road legal, I can't tell you. Your local motor vehicle dept. (whatever it's called) should be able to. Approvals to look for: DOT (Dept. of transportation), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). A yellow or red lens is just a lens, yet to be able to use it on a road legal vehicle it must have the letters DOT and the specification number.
