- How can you chrome a motorcycle engine that isn't already?
I just bought a chopper and the only thing not chrome or painted is the engine. Can i take it apart and send in the jugs for chroming? Whill there be heat issues as its air cooled? Any price estimates?
A You really don't want to chrome the jugs because of heat dissipation.As an alternative you might think about having the fins diamond cut.It adds a lot of flash to an engine. http://www.diamond-heads.com/

- Wrapping on bobber pipes? / Bike and chrome Rust removal?
What is the wrapping on the exhaust pipes on a bobber/chopper motorcycle? is it easy to do? I have an old bike that has some rust on the pipes near the engine and i was hopping to cover it up with this wrapping. Also any advice on rust spot removal off of chrome? Thanks
A Aluminum muffler patch or duct tape works somewhat on mufflers- head pipe will probably burn off cheap stuff. If you want to cover up rusty piping- muffler shop locally has some stainless steel wrapping that is like a flex pipe and comes in a strip roll 1/2 inch wide or so with a interlocking flanged sides- this is used on some headers and exposed exhaust pipes to make it look like chrome cover. A piece of stainless flex pipe slipped over pipe is another option- cut to length from 10 foot rolls, slide it over pipe from muffler end and then put muffler back on to hold in place. check frame and clamp clearance.
