- Why hasn't someone designed a Carbon Fiber custom motorcycle / chopper?
carbon fiber is lighter and stronger right?
A As a body material it's fine.A fibre glass race body for my Ducati is $800.00 the same body in carbon fibre is $3700.00 from the same company.The over all saving in weight is 3.4 lbs.Not really worth the cost.As for frames altho carbon fibre is lighter and stronger it can't take the vibration and constant torquing as you power up and down.

- What would it take to make a mini chopper/motorcycle street legal in the state of NJ?
I'm in high school now an the big thing for freshmen is having a moped for transportation. But i was wondering if it is possible to make a mini chopper street legal. I came across one at my uncle's house and I thought how cool would it be if I rolled up in a custom mini chopper or even just to go to a friends house. please respond If there is anything else or any place I can go in bergen county NJ that can tell me exactly what i need, I know some necessities are : reflectors, plates, signal lights, and a speedometer. Any help is appreciated its also a 4 stroke engine
A Mini chopper street legal? Highly unlikely- depends on mini chopper engine size as only ones I've read about getting plated were as 'Moped' with under 50cc engines- like variation of Yamaha PA50 dirt bikes. And new Jersey doesn't plate scooters, etc as mopeds unless they have bicycle type pedals besides engine, speed restricted to 20mph. The 50cc scooters that locally get moped plates are restricted to 30 mph and don't need motorcycle endorsement. What kind of engine does your mini chopper have? transmission? How old? other loophole for some is a frame from 1960s that had a registration then.
