A motorcycle mechanic will make $15.00 maybe $20.00 per. Hr.
If you have welding, sheet metal, paint and body skills, as well as a talent for fabrication and problem solving along with a great deal of capital to tie up for an extended period of time,you could attempt to build some ” One Off’s”.
But be advised, it’s a lot like any art form, If the public does not like them they are worth little. Unlike paintings or sculptures, the materials to build a chopper are quite expensive $20,000 or more is not unheard of,just for parts.
So unless your bikes are **Really Cool** you could easily stand to bust,yourass for a break even or even a loss.

Why do I watch Discovery Channel’s show American Chopper when I hate motorcycles?
I don’t even like Harley Davidson’s. They are loud and I mean they used to be cool when the real core guys rode them but now there is that show called American Chopper and they are not so cool. Why do we watch shows about things that we would otherwise never care about? I should make a show about basket weaving. Would people watch that show?

Its kinda like Modern Marvels or something, you’ll be glued to the tv for an hour watching a show about the history of the pencil or something ridiculous. Or How It’s Made… Who cares about how they make a toothbrush? No one, but you’ll watch it.
