- Chopper motorcycle coils question... im new to bikes?
New to motorcycles. I just got a new chopper and need a few things but I need more general information on what they are/what they do. First, I need coils. I know this because other people have told me. First off, what are coils? Where to they mount? What the deal with one coil per spark plug? And what kind should I get? I have a Revetech 88 engine. Thanks guys
A you can get a single fire or a dual fire ,single fire will fire one plug at a time and dual fire will fire both plugs at once.dual fire is an easy set up.single fire has to be timed right. dual fire will be firing a plug on an empty cylinder though.No big deal they both work.If your doing anything with high performance you go single fire but the average V twin will do just fine with dual fire.and the coil is what produces your spark. they are uaually mounted on the primary side of the bike in front of the oil bag. but you can put them up front on the frame to.

There are so many different kinds of brakes out there. I have weld rims, venom tires, an ultima frame and revtech 88 engine. Where should I start looking as far as categories of brakes go? I have no idea where to start! Help!?!?!?
A first of all rev tech is made in TAIWAN! next theres all kinds of brakes I would use 4 piston up front and 6 piston in the back,rev tech are actually good brakes I have them on my panhead.performance machine are probably the best but very high priced,Arlen Ness is good but agin high priced. Get a catalog from FOG HOLLOW they have everybodies stuff!
